IteraPath Studio ("we") provides Simple Teleprompter ("the App"). This policy covers our iOS/iPadOS, Android and Web services. Platform-specific speech processing is explained below. Contact details appear below.

1. Information and purposes

Accounts: Account identifiers, email addresses and profile information support sign-in, account security and support. Your chosen sign-in provider processes authentication information; Sign in with Apple may supply a private relay email. Guest access can create an anonymous backend account identifier and is not exclusively a local device identity.
Scripts and settings: Script text, titles, groups and prompting preferences are processed to organize and display your content. Local content is stored on your device. Optional cloud synchronization for registered accounts sends script and group information to our Supabase backend; guest scripts are not synchronized through this feature.
Camera and microphone: These inputs are used when you choose recording or voice-following features. Recordings are saved on your device. Exporting to Photos or another destination creates copies managed by that destination. Speech processing is described in section 2.
Purchases: Monthly and yearly subscriptions and the one-time Lifetime purchase involve product and transaction identifiers, receipts or signed transaction information, purchase/expiry status and billing identifiers. The relevant store and RevenueCat use this information to verify, restore and maintain Premium access. We do not receive your full payment-card details from store purchases.
Service and support: App version, platform/device information, account activity timestamps and operational records help maintain reliability, security and troubleshooting. Feedback and attachments you send are used to respond to your request.

2. Speech recognition and permissions

iOS/iPadOS: Speech Recognition uses Apple's native Speech framework, including SFSpeechRecognizer. Microphone audio and selected words or short phrases from the current script (contextualStrings) may be provided to Apple's recognizer. Recognized text is matched against your script on the device to control scrolling. Speech Rate monitors microphone input to adjust prompting speed.

On supported devices, languages and execution paths, the App requests on-device recognition. Other paths, including certain shared-audio recording configurations, do not require on-device-only recognition, so Apple may process audio and recognition context on its servers. We do not guarantee that every speech session works offline or remains entirely on the device.

The iOS/iPadOS speech feature does not integrate an independent third-party AI service to receive your speech or script. This statement concerns speech recognition, not the separate account, synchronization and purchase providers identified in this policy.

The App requests microphone and speech-recognition authorization through Apple's system permission dialogs. You can decline or revoke access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone / Speech Recognition, or stop voice following in the App. Fixed-speed and timed prompting do not require speech recognition; recording requires its own permissions. Revocation stops future access through that permission but does not delete previously saved or already processed data.

Apple's handling and retention of speech-service data are governed by its applicable notices and settings. See the Apple Privacy Policy and third-party-app speech information in Siri, Dictation & Privacy.

Android and Web: Android uses the device's available or selected speech-recognition service. Web speech recognition, where supported, uses the browser's recognition service. Audio may be processed by that system or browser service provider, locally or on its servers, under its permissions and privacy policies. The Apple-specific description above does not apply to these platforms.

3. Recipients and safeguards

We use Supabase for account services and optional synchronization, RevenueCat for purchase validation and entitlement management, and the relevant platform store for payment. A sign-in provider you choose processes authentication information. These functions are separate from speech recognition. Web does not offer in-app checkout.

We use access controls and encryption appropriate to the data and service. Providers processing personal data on our behalf are required to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable requirements, and to limit processing to the service purpose. Services operated under a provider's own terms are also subject to that provider's privacy notices. Processing may occur outside your country, subject to applicable cross-border requirements. No security measure eliminates all risk.

We do not sell your private scripts or recordings to advertising brokers. Necessary disclosures may be made to meet valid legal obligations or protect users and the service.

4. Retention, deletion and your choices

Local scripts, preferences and recordings remain until deleted through the App or device controls. Exported copies and device backups may persist separately.
Recognition results support active voice following, not a cloud transcript archive. Saved recordings may contain the same speech. The recognition service provider controls retention of data processed by its service.
Account deletion: Request deletion in the App's account/settings screen or contact us for assistance. Associated personal data is deleted unless limited retention is necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention or transaction obligations. Retained information is restricted to that purpose and the period needed; backups follow their applicable retention cycle.
Account and synchronized data are retained as needed for the services you choose. Support and operational records are retained as needed to resolve requests, maintain security and satisfy applicable obligations. You can manage synchronization in Settings and edit/delete your content.
Request access, correction or deletion by contacting us. Additional rights and identity-verification requirements depend on applicable law.
Deleting the App or its account does not cancel a subscription or erase the store's transaction records. On Apple devices, manage renewal in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Google Play purchases are managed through Google Play.

5. Children and policy changes

The App is not intended for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We publish changes with their revision date and provide notice or obtain agreement where required. A policy update or continued use alone does not authorize new data sharing that requires explicit consent.
